Last summer, my sisters, my kiddo, and I took a road trip to Oregon for our great Uncles Birthday/family reunion. I made this piece as a thank you for my Aunt who housed us while we visited. I think it'll be perfect in her Hydrangea themed bathroom. I used a combination of two of my favorite mediums - acrylic on canvas and ribbon embroidery in an effort to achieve a different type of dimensional art. Nice, yes?

Bride Mini Album Word Book
My latest project - a mini album for a friend of my sister-in-law.
Cover detail - paper roses and Initial charms.
The photo was done by modpodge transfer. I love the vintage feel that technique gives it.
Accordion fold photo and journaling pop out and a spot for a 4x4 picture that slips underneath the rhinestone detail.
Accordion detail.
Tag holder.
Tag detail with glass disk.
Clear acrylic photo page - holds 2 4x6 photos, one on each side.
4x6 photo slips under flower detail
4x6 photo slips under ribbon. Loved getting to use those little letter charms beaded onto the ribbon.

Folded Paper Ornament
I found this article on ehow.com and had to try it out. (Title is a link to the article) It was surprisingly easy. Hopefully, by next year I'll have a whole set. For the inner circles I used Christmas sheet music from an old hymnal I ...um... liberated from church. It was a sad little hymnal with a half torn off cover and water damage. It's much happier now that it has been re-purposed.
Fancy Frames
Modified frames for two of my girlfriends for Christmas.

Holiday Craft Faire Project
I put this piece together to teach at my church's Holiday Craft Faire. It's a hanging decoration.
Here was my class description.
"In this class you will be learning basic distressed painting techniques as you create a Christmas themed, three piece, hanging decoration. The fist piece is an oval that says Merry Christmas. You choose the second piece - either a Snow man or a Santa. The third piece is a snowflake. You will also be assembling all the pieces together using covered wire and embellishing with beads and bells. "

Rusty Bells
I found these rusty looking bells at Micheal's, and at 70% off I couldn't resist picking up a few.
I strung them up with some twine I had laying around the house, threw some beads on there, and finished it with a piece of ribbon I had saved from a box of Godiva chocolates.

Hidden Picture
On our last trip to Hawaii I had a mission - to compose my last name using pictures from our trip. I had to cheat on the "K" but other wise I think it came out great! I'm especially pleased with the "A" as it was taken by a random tour guide who had no knowledge of my mission. He just happened to take a perfect "A" picture for me. Thanks random tour guide!
